Just because the snow melts doesn’t mean the dogs stop running. Rod’s Alaskan Guide Service offers unforgettable summer dog sledding tours in Fairbanks, Alaska—using specially outfitted carts and side-by-sides designed for dryland mushing. These tours give you an up-close look at how sled dogs train and play during the off-season.
Led by our experienced local mushers, each tour includes a musher talk and equipment demonstration. You'll learn about Alaskan Huskies, their racing backgrounds, and their essential role in Alaskan culture. Many of our dogs have competed in world-renowned races like the Yukon Quest and Iditarod, and all are part of our extended family.
You’ll also get to interact with the huskies, take photos, and enjoy a classic Alaskan evening with s’mores around the campfire. Our summer dog mushing tours are perfect for families, couples, and anyone curious about sled dogs.

- Adventures start at 3355 Repp Road, North Pole, AK 99705
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour
- Adventures operate in all weather conditions
- For safety reasons, individuals over 300 lbs must book 2 tickets for the UTV experience
- Dogs only run during the cooler hours of the day (4:00PM & 6:00PM) for their health and safety
